यूपी सरकार जल्द ही UPSSF (उत्तर प्रदेश स्पेशल सिक्यरिटी फ़ोर्स) की स्थापना करने जा रही है। मानवाधिकार संगठनों को डर है कि यूपीएसएसएफ कड़ा साबित होगा और आगे राज्य की ज्यादतियों को जन्म देगा। UPSSF के पास विशेष शक्तियां हैं, जिससे वे बिना किसी वारंट के किसी को भी गिरफ्तार कर सकते हैं और साथ में बिना वारंट किसी की भी तालाशी ले सकती है। इसके अलावा, किसी को भी यूपीएसएसएफ के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज करने की अनुमति नहीं है जब तक कि उसके पास राज्य सरकार की अनुमति न हो। चालित्रा अभियान ने मुज़फ़्फ़रनगर से सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता, रेहाना अदीब से बात करी । उनका कहना है कि यूपीएसएसएफ महिलाओं के लिए एक काला क़ानून साबित होगा।

The UP government is soon going to instate the draconian UPSSF (Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force). Human rights organisations fear that UPSSF will be draconian and will give rise to further state excesses. The UPSSF has special powers whereby they can arrest and search anyone without a warrant. Moreover, no one is allowed to file a case against UPSSF unless it has the permission of the state government. ChalChitra Abhiyaan speaks to social activist from Muzaffarnagar, Rehana Adib, about how UPSSF will prove to be draconian for women.
