उत्तर प्रदेश ज़िला शामली में 21 अगस्त को भारत बंद के समर्थन में बहुत से दलित संगठनों ने अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति में आरक्षण व्यवस्था में उपवर्गीकरण करने और उसमे क्रिमिलीयर लागू करने पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के विरोध में दलितों ने भारत बंद किया और ज्ञापन दिया ।

On August 21, in Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, several Dalit organizations supported the Bharat Bandh in protest against the Supreme Court’s decision to implement sub-categorization and the application of the creamy layer within the reservation system for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The Dalit community organised the Bharat Bandh and submitted a memorandum in opposition.
