उत्तर प्रदेश के ज़िला शामली में ऊन शुगर मिल पर 25 अगस्त 2022 को राजनीतिक पार्टी राष्ट्रीय लोक दल के आह्वान पर किसानों का गन्ना भुगतान को लेकर एक दिवसीय धरना प्रदर्शन हुआ । चलचित्र अभियान की टीम ने जिला शामली के किसानों से बात की, जिनका का कहना है कि शुगर मिल ने हमारे पिछले कई महीनों का भुगतान नहीं किया है। किसानों का कहना है कि हम वापस नहीं जाएंगे जब तक हमारा भुगतान नहीं हो जाता हैं।

On 25 August, 2022, in Un Sugar Mill of Shamli district in UP, the farmers of Shamli collectivised for a day-long demonstration on the invocation of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) to protest the outstanding payments of sugarcane harvest that are due to farmers. Team CCA arrived at the protest site to interview the farmers. It was said that the sugar mills have not payed farmers their due payment for their sugarcane for several months. They expressed resilience and said that until they receive their payments, they will continue protesting.
