11 अगस्त 2025 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने आदेश दिया कि दिल्ली–NCR की सड़कों पर मौजूद सभी स्ट्रीट डॉग्स को हटाया जाए और उन्हें शेल्टर हाउस में रखा जाए और दोबारा से सड़कों पर न छोड़ा जाए।
17 अगस्त 2025 को ज़िला शामली में युवाओं ने इस आदेश के खिलाफ़ सड़क पर उतर कर विरोध-प्रदर्शन किया।
CCA की टीम से प्रदर्शन में आए हुए लोगों से बात कि लोगों का कहना है कि आदेश बहुत ही निराशाजनक हैं। उनका ये भी कहना है कि जल्दी जल्दी सुप्रीम कोर्ट को ये फैसला वापस ले लेना चाहिए वरना जल्द ही बड़ा आंदोलन होगा।

On August 11, 2025, the Supreme Court issued an order that all street dogs in Delhi–NCR be removed from the roads and kept in shelter homes, and that they must not be released back onto the streets.
On August 17, 2025, in Shamli district, young people took to the streets to protest against this order.
Speaking to the CCA team during the protest, people said that the order is deeply disappointing. They also added that the Supreme Court should withdraw this decision at the earliest, otherwise a large-scale movement will soon follow.
