उत्तर प्रदेश के शमली ज़िले में फिर से पुलिस बर्बरता का एक और दर्दनाख उधारण देखने को मिला। शामली के टपरना गाँव के निवासियों का आरोप है कि 26 मई 2020 को गाँव में देर रात को पुलिस आई और गाँव के लगभग 35 मुसलमानों के घरों में घुस कर तोड़ फ़ोड़ मचाई, गाँव में गाड़ियाँ तोड़ी और मर्दों, औरतों और बच्चों के साथ मार पीट करी। कहा यह जा रहा है कि
पुलिस किसी को गिरफ़्तार करने आई थी। उसके साथ झड़प हुई और कुछ देर बाद भारी संख्या में और पुलिसकर्मी आए और पूरे गाँव में तांडव मचा दिया। चलचित्र अभियान की एक रिपोर्ट।

Another shocking case of police brutality came to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district. On May 26, 2020 villagers from Shamli’s Taprana village have the police came to their village late and night and vandalised around 35 houses belonging to Muslims. They broke down things in the houses, they smashed cars and beat up men, women and children. it is said that the police had come to arrest someone. They got into an altercation with that person and subsequently several police officials came to the village and went on a rampage. A ChalChitra Abhiyaan report.
