उत्तर प्रदेश के ज़िला ग़ाज़ियाबाद के क़स्बा मंडोला में किसान 2014 से अनिश्चितकाल धरने पर हैं। मंडोला में किसान आवास विकास द्वारा की गई जमीन अधिग्रहण की कार्रवाई का विरोध कर रहे हैं। इसी की लेकर भारतीय किसान यूनियन ने मंडोला में किसान मज़दूर महापंचायत का आयोजन किया। इस महापंचात को राकेश टिकैत ने संबोधित किया| जिसमे उन्होंने कहा हैं कि प्रशासन और सरकार को इस मामले में हस्तक्षेप कर बातचीत करनी चाहिए। आवास विकास 10 प्रतिशत भूखंड देने की बात कर रहा है, लेकिन उसका बैनामा नहीं कर रहा है। अगर सरकार और प्रशासन ने किसानों मांगों पर ध्यान नहीं दिया तो आंदोलन और तेज किया जाएगा।

In Mandola, a town in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, farmers have been protesting indefinitely since 2014. The protest is against the land acquisition carried out by the Housing Development Authority. Addressing a farmers’ laborer mahapanchayat organized by the Bharatiya Kisan Union in Mandola, Rakesh Tikait stated that the administration and government must intervene and hold talks.
He added that while the Housing Development Authority is offering 10% of the plots, it is not completing the registration process. Tikait warned that if the government and administration do not address the farmers’ demands, the movement will intensify.
