उत्तर प्रदेश में ज़िला शामली के कैराना क्षेत्र में भारतीय किसान यूनियन ने महापंचायत की। इस महापंचायत को राकेश टिकैत ने संबोधित किया जिसमें आसपास के किसानों ने हिस्सा लिया। यहाँ टिकैत ने कहा कि आज के दोर में खेती नुकसान की नहीं हैं, दिल्ली के कलम बेईमान हैं। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि भाजपा सरकार ने देश में डर का माहोल हैं और सब परेशान हैं। जो सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ बोलता है, उस पर ये देशद्रोह का मुक़दमा लगा देते हैं।

In Kairana, Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) held a Mahapanchayat. It was addressed by Rakesh Tikait, with farmers from surrounding areas participating. In his speech, Tikait said that in today’s times farming itself is not a loss-making activity, but “Delhi’s pen is dishonest.” He also said that under the BJP government there is an atmosphere of fear in the country and everyone is troubled. “Whoever speaks against the government is charged with sedition,” he added.
