17 अगस्त को ज़िला मुज़फ्फरनगर के क़स्बा सिसौली में भारतीय किसान यूनियन ने मासिक पंचायत आयोजित की। इस पंचायत की भारतीय किसान यूनियन के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राकेश टिकैत ने संबोधित किया। राकेश टिकैत का कहना हैं कि किसान को पूँजीपतियों से अपनी ज़मीन बचानी होगी।

On 17th August, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) organized a monthly panchayat in Sisauli, Muzaffarnagar district. In this panchayat, Rakesh Tikait, the National President of BKU, addressed the gathering stating that ‘‘farmers will have to save their land from capitalists.”
