On the 9th of August, 2018, Dalits were attacked by a group of Thakur youth in Uldepur Village of Meerut district. A Dalit youth was killed in the attack and three were grievously injured. Dalit organisations have been protesting the attack and held a Maha-Panchayat on the 20th of August to demand the arrest of the accused Thakurs.

9 अगस्त 2018 को मेरठ के उल्देपुर गाँव में कूछ ठाकुरों ने दलितों पर हमला किया। हमले में एक दलित नौजावान की हत्या हो गई और तीन गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए। दलित संगठनों ने इस घटना के ख़िलाफ़ विरोध किया है और 20 अगस्त को दोषी ठाकुरों की गिरफ़्तारी की माँग करते हुए एक दलित महा-पंचायत भी करी ।
