उत्तर प्रदेश में 17 फरवरी 2025 को ज़िला मुज़फ़्फ़रनगर के गुड़ मंडी में भारतीय किसान यूनियन ने गन्ना मूल्य और किसानों के मुद्दों को लेकर किसान मज़दूर महापंचायत का आयोजन किया। चलचित्र अभियान की टीम ने पंचायत में आए किसानों से बात की किसानों का कहना है कि सरकार गन्ना भुगतान और गन्ने के भाव पर कोई बात नहीं कर रही है सरकार सिर्फ़ किसानों का सिर्फ़ शोषण कर रही हैं। किसानों का ये भी कहना है कि अगर हमारी मांग नहीं मानी गई तो बड़े बड़े आन्दोलन होंगे।

On 17th February 2025, in Gud Mandi, Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Kisan Union organized a Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat to address issues related to sugarcane prices and farmers’ concerns.
The Chalchitra Abhiyan team spoke to the farmers attending the gathering. They expressed their frustration, stating that the government is neither addressing the issue of sugarcane payments nor increasing the prices. According to them, the government is only exploiting farmers. They also warned that if their demands are not met, large-scale protests will follow.
