उत्तर प्रदेश के मुजफ्फरनगर थाना खतौली क्षेत्र के गांव मढ़करीमपुर में स्वर्ण समाज के कुछ लोगों ने 15 जुलाई को दलित वर्ग के दूल्हे को घोड़ी से उतार दिया | मढ़करीमपुर गांव निवासी अमृत कुमार की मंगलवार को मंसूरपुर के गांव दिनकरपुर में बारात जानी थी। सोमवार को रिश्तेदार मिलकर गांव में घुड़चढ़ी निकाल रहे थे। घुड़चढ़ी में दोस्त, रिश्तेदार आदि गीत-संगीत की धुन पर झूम रहे थे, तभी घुड़चढ़ी गांव में राजपूत समाज के क्षेत्र में पहुंची, तो राजपूत समाज के कुछ युवकों ने आयोजन को रुकवा दिया। युवकों ने दूल्हे को घोड़े से नीचे उतार दिया और जाति सूचक शब्दों से अपमानित किया जिसके चलते दलित समाज में भारी रोष है |

In the village of Madhkarimpur, located in the Khatauli area of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, some individuals from the upper caste forced a Dalit groom off his horse on July 15. Amrit Kumar, a resident of Madhkarimpur, was scheduled to take his wedding procession to Dinkarpur village in Mansurpur on Tuesday. On Monday, relatives gathered in the town for the traditional pre-wedding procession called “ghurchari.” Friends and relatives were celebrating with music and dance when the procession reached the Rajput area of the village. Some Rajput youths stopped the procession, forced the groom off the horse, and insulted him with casteist slurs, causing significant outrage in the Dalit community.
