उत्तर प्रदेश में लोकसभा 2024 के चुनाव के बाद लगभग 10 सीटों पर विधानसभा उपचुनाव होने है उपचुनाव की तारीख अब 20 नवंबर हो गई है जो पहले 13 थी। जिसमे से उत्तर प्रदेश के ज़िला मुजफ्फरनगर की एक सीट मीरापुर विधानसभा है इस सीट पर उपचुनाव को लेकर सभी पार्टियों ने अपने प्रत्याशी घोषित कर दिए हैं। समाजवादी पार्टी से पूर्व सांसद कादिर राणा की पुत्रवधु सुंबुल राणा रालोद से मितलेश पाल, एसपी से जाहिद हुसैन और बीएसपी से शाहनजर चुनावी मैदान में हैं। CCA की टीम से मीरापुर विधानसभा के गाँव राजपुर कलां में जाट समाज के लोगों से बात की। जिसमें उनका का कहना है कि किसानों की तरफ़ कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया हैं। भाजपा के शासनकाल में अच्छे काम हुए।

After the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, by-elections are set to take place for around 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, with the revised date now being November 20, instead of November 13. One of these seats is Meerpur in Muzaffarnagar district, where all major parties have announced their candidates. Samajwadi Party has fielded Sumbul Rana, daughter-in-law of former MP Qadir Rana; RLD has Mithlesh Pal as its candidate; SP has Zahid Hussain, and BSP has Shahnazar in the fray.
The CCA team visited Rajpur Kala village in the Meerpur constituency and spoke to members of the Jat community. They expressed concerns over the lack of attention toward farmers, though they acknowledged that the BJP government has done some commendable work.
