‘मांग पूरी न होने तक धरना जारी रहेगा’ | “We will continue our protest until our demands are met”

दिल्ली-देहरादून इकोनॉमिक कॉरिडोर के लिए भूमि अधिग्रहण के मुआवाज़े को लेकर ज़िला शामली के किसानों ने पानीपत-खटीमा हाईवे पर अनिश्चितकालीन धरना शुरू कर दिया हैं। इस एक्सप्रेसवे में जनपद के 22 गांव प्रभावित हैं। इसकी दूरी 32.05 किमी व क्षेत्रफल 221 हेक्टेयर अधिग्रहण के लिए प्रस्तावित है। किसानों कहना हैं कि जब तक हमारी मांगें पूरी नहीं होती हैं हम यहां से नहीं उठेंगे।

In demand for adequate compensation against the land acquisation for the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, farmers of Shamli have started an indefinitely long sit-in protest in the Panipat-Khatima highway. The proposed expressway affects 22 villages of Janpad. The length of the expressway is 32.05 km and an area of 221 hectares has been proposed for acquisition. Farmers say that they will not stop the protest till their demands are met.
