त्तर प्रदेश के ज़िला शामली में थाना भवन बजाज शुगर मिल पर पिछले लंबे समय से गन्ना भुगतान को लेकर किसानों का धरना चल रहा था । मिल प्रशाशन के आश्वासन पर और कुछ गन्ना भुगतान देने पर किसानों ने धरना समाप्त कर दिया और चेतावनी दी कि अगर मिल प्रशासन अपना वादा ख़िलाफी करता है तो फिर से आंदोलन किया जाएगा ।

In Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, farmers were protesting at Thanabhavan Bajaj Sugar Mill over pending sugarcane payments. After the mill gave some payment and promised the rest, farmers ended the protest. But they warned that they will start the protest again if the promise is broken.
