जिला शामली के कस्बा थाना भवन में 9 मार्च 2025 से बकाया गन्ना भुगतान की मांग को लेकर थानाभवन शुगर मिल पर किसानों का धरना जारी है किसानों का कहना है कि जब तक हमारा संपूर्ण भुगतान नहीं होता हमारा धरना जारी रहेगा। किसानों ने गुस्से में शुगर मिल के गेट पर भी ताला लगा दिया है जिससे उनका कहना है कि जब तक गन्ना भुगतान नहीं होता हैं ये ताला भी नहीं खुलेगा और आगे महापंचापत करने को भी तैयारी में है।

In Thanabhavan town of Shamli district, farmers have been protesting at Thanabhavan Sugar Mill since March 9, 2025, demanding their pending sugarcane payments. The farmers declared that their protest will continue until full payment is made. In a show of anger, they locked the sugar mill’s gate, stating that the lock will remain until they receive their dues. They are also preparing for a larger “Mahapanchayat” if their demands aren’t met.
