टिकरी उत्तर प्रदेश के बागपत ज़िले में एक नगर पंचायत शहर है। टिकरी शहर को 12 वार्डों में बांटा गया है, जिसके लिए हर 5 साल में चुनाव होते हैं। टिकरी नगर पंचायत की जनसंख्या 14,092 है, जिसमें से 7,660 पुरुष हैं जबकि 6,432 महिलाएं हैं, जनगणना भारत 2011 द्वारा जारी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार। चलचित्र अभियान की टीम ने टिकरी नगर पंचायत में लोगों से नगर पंचायत चुनाव को लेकर बातचीत की। जिसमें लोगों का कहना हैं जो शहर के विकास के बारे में सोचेगा वोट उसी को मिलेंगीं। टीकरी में भाजपा और कॉंग्रेस के अलावा किसी अन्य राजनैतिक दल ने प्रत्याशी नहीं उतारा। टिकरी में निर्दलीय प्रत्याशियों का दबदबा हैं।

The locals emphasize that the candidate who prioritizes the city’s development will receive their votes. Besides BJP and Congress, no other political party has fielded candidates in Tikri. Independent candidates hold significant influence in Tikri.
