वर्ष 2011 में रेलवे मंत्रालय ने पश्चिमी यूपी के मुज़फ़्फ़रनगर ओर सहारनपुर ज़िलों में डेडिकेटेड फ्रेट कॉरिडोर कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड (DFCCIL) के लिए किसानों की ज़मीन अधिग्रहण की थीं। ज़िला सहारनपुर के गांव लाखनौर के किसानों का कहना हैं कि उन्हें ज़मीन का मुआवजा बहुत कम मिला हैं। उन किसानों का कहना हैं कि वे पिछले कितने ही सालों से अपनी ज़मीन मुआवजे को लेकर संघर्ष कर रहे हैं।

In 2011, the Ministry of Railways took over the land of farmers in Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur districts in Western UP for the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL). The farmers of Lakhnaur village of Saharanpur district said that they received very little compensation for the land that was taken from them. For several years now, these farmers have been struggling for just compensation for the land acquired from them.
