28 अगस्त 2021 को हरियाणा के करनाल में पुलिस द्वारा किसानों पर हुआ लाठीचार्ज जिसमे एक किसान की मौत हो गयी जबकि कई अन्य किसान घायल हैं।
07 सितंबर 2021 को किसानों पर हुई लाठीचार्ज के विरोध में करनाल में महापंचायत हुई ।
इस महापंचायत में किसानो ने मृतक के परिजनों के लिए मुआवजे की मांग और SDM के ख़िलाफ़ कार्यवाही की मांग की । प्रशासन द्वारा किसानों की ये मांगे नहीं माने जाने पर किसानों ने जिला सचिवालय को घेरने का फ़ैसला किया।

On 28 August 2021, police lathi charged farmers in Karnal, Haryana. As a result of which one farmer was killed and many other farmers were injured.
On 07 September 2021, a Mahapanchayat was held in Karnal in protest against the lathi charge on the farmers.
In this Mahapanchayat, the farmers demanded compensation for the relatives of the deceased and action against the SDM. When these demands of the farmers were not accepted by the administration, the farmers decided to gherao the district secretariat. A ChalChitra Abhiyaan (CCA) report.
